Can I get travel insurance if I’m over 65?
Travel Insurance FAQs

Yes, you can. Many travelers after a certain age think that they can’t get travel insurance, but the travel insurance providers have caught on to the fact that retired baby boomers like to travel and they offer plans for seniors of all ages.

In fact, seniors are encouraged to purchase travel insurance if for one fact alone: Medicare doesn’t cover you outside the U.S. borders. Some supplement plans offer travel medical coverage overseas, but they don’t include emergency evacuation and their medical limits are low.

If you are injured or become ill while traveling, the coverage with your supplement plan may not be enough to protect you from a big medical bill.
