Travel Insured International – CitizenSecure

Editor Review

travel-insured-citizen-secureThe Good: This is good international major medical coverage that is reasonably priced and protects individuals and families when they need health care outside the U.S. or their home country (where government-sponsored plans may provide care). It provides coverage for emergency illnesses and injuries, wellness care, maternity care (after 12 months of continuous coverage), and all expected benefits of major medical.

The Drawbacks: Plan does not cover those older than 74 (although senior citizens can purchase a senior version of this plan with reduced limits). U.S. citizens must reside outside the U.S. for at least six months of each certificate period.

The Bottom Line: This is comprehensive international major medical insurance for U.S. and non U.S. citizens who travel or reside worldwide. It provides good long-term coverage that includes all the benefits expected of a major medical plan with high coverage limits and excellent family friendly coverage.
