The Good: Worldwide travel medical coverage for U.S. citizens and non U.S. citizens whose travel is outside the U.S. (except for incidental home country trips). While this is exclusively a travel medical plan, focused on coverage for emergency medical treatment and evacuations (non medical evacuations as well), it also includes two package-like benefits: trip interruption and lost luggage. Optional hazardous sports upgrade available for adventure and sports enthusiasts.

The Drawbacks: For the average consumer, it can be hard to know how much coverage you’ll need and which coverage limits to choose from the range of limits available.

Plan Details

This plan is unique in that it provides the following:

Designed for trips up to one year with medical coverage and selectable deductible amounts.
Medical coverage extends to medical care due to acts of terrorism (up to $50,000).
Political evacuations covered up to $10,000 (lifetime limit).
Includes $25,000 24-hour AD&D.
Evacuation coverage includes emergency medical reunion costs and return of minor children.
Plan includes $5,000 in felonious assault AD&D benefits (cannot be combined with other benefits).
Plan includes $250 for lost checked luggage and $5,000 trip interruption coverage.
Natural disaster benefits up to $100 per day (5 days maximum) if the insured is displaced from pre-paid accommodations due to mandatory evacuations.
Incidental home country coverage for trips up to 15 days long per three months of coverage.

Limitations
