Overview of Medevac Per Trip from Travel Guard:

The MedEvac Annual plan provides world wide emergency medical coverage for injuries or illnesses that may occur while traveling. MedEvac (which stands for Medical Evacuation) will transport you or another covered member of your party to the nearest hospital where appropriate medical treatment can be achieved. If warranted, MedEvac will also transport you home after treatment. Unlike other medical evacuation plans, Travel Guard’s MedEvac plan covers related medically necessary expenses.
Also included are 24-hour assistance services including help with arranging last-minute flight changes, finding hotels, locating lost luggage, obtaining medical references, lost prescription replacement, emergency cash transfers, and live e-mail and phone messaging to family and friends. Concierge services, personal security and identity theft assistance are also included.
Coverage can be purchased up to 24 hours before departure, so you can be sure to start your trip off on the right foot. This plan will cover you from the time you leave home until the time you return safely to your doorstep.

Emergency Medical Transportation/Evacuation
This benefit covers the cost to transport you or other covered members of your party to a medical facility to receive care. This benefit also includes repatriation or return of remains, transportation of dependent children and transportation costs for one person to join you if you are hospitalized more than 7 days.
Medical Expense Coverage
This benefit provides emergency medical coverage if you become ill or are injured while traveling and need medical attention. This plan provides up to$50,000 in necessary medical and dental expenses.
Accidental Death & Dismemberment coverage up to $25,000
Optional Adventure Sports coverage: Coverage is provided for many adventure sports activities typically not covered including mountaineering, aviation, hang gliding, skydiving, parachuting and bungee jumping.
